We're not really sure when Haley's birthday is, but since we rescued her from Pet Savers on May 31st and they said she was about five years old, Mum says that's her birthday. I guess, in a way, it IS her birthday...she started a whole, new, wonderful life! To say my mother loves her dog may be an understatement. I'm so happy they have each other now! We started off the afternoon going to check out Christ Fit Gym, had dinner at River City Grille and went to Kroger. Then it was on to the apartment to get ready for the "party". Mum baked Haley some dog cupcakes and even iced them and put a lit candle on one. We couldn't find any party hats at Kroger so we got a ribbon which we had trouble keeping on the birthday girl. She ate her cake and opened her present. Mum and I were quite entertained by her getting her toy out of the bag so I think we all enjoyed the evening! Happy 8th birthday, Haley!!
Mum had a burger and I had blackened ahi tuna, wasabi mashed potatoes and green beans - YUM! |
Waiting patiently while her mother ices her cupcakes. |
She is such a cute little puppy!! |
She's quite interested in the cupcake...and it took her all of three seconds to gulp it down. |
She shook and squeaked and worked hard to get this out of the bag!! And she loved it! |
Licking the carpet where the cupcake was. And she somehow got the bow from her neck to her tail!! |
