We started off our weekend celebrating the life of Martha Garrett. She helped so much in the growth of my faith and relationship with Jesus. She worked quietly and tirelessly around our church and lived her faith in everything she did for 95 years. What a privilege it was to call her a friend. She will be dearly missed here but there was great rejoicing in heaven at her homecoming! A story she loved was shared at her service - we always save dessert for last after a meal and it's the best part! The forks were passed out afterwards to remind us that the best is yet to come!
Sunday after church, we took a ride and found a little lake neither of us knew existed. Ivan Lake was a perfect place to stop and take a little break to walk around and drink a bottle of water.
Monday we went for our helicopter ride that I was high bidder on in a silent auction a couple of weeks ago! It was awesome to fly over places that we know so well...from the ground. Whole different perspective from the air and it was great! We all enjoyed it so much...:)
