After driving all night and each of us getting maybe 90 minutes of sleep, we found ourselves in Valentine, Nebraska. I snapped a picture of a bridge when we passed a historical marker sign and looked it up later. Kenneth likes to look at bridges and how they are built so I'm glad I was able to get both the picture and the history of this one, Bryan Bridge.
This turned out to be a great local hangout-great breakfast! |
And the Bloody Marys were quite tasty, as well...:) |
Of course, with full bellies and a Bloody Mary in us, Lisa and I promptly took naps upon returning to the RV. I slept a little over an hour and when I woke up, we were in South Dakota! Caught a few pictures of sights from the road that I found interesting. The landscapes are beautiful here!
This is the Harley Davidson shop where all the vendors were located for Bike Week. We ended up here a couple of times! |
Black Hills National Cemetery |
Rolling into Deadwood headed for the Fish and Fry Campground |
Parking in Deadwood headed to the Iron Horse Inn for dinner. |
Taking our first ride - going to Spearfish Canyon. |
Was taking a picture of the Abraham Lincoln bust and saw 5-0 set up - we saw a LOT of them this week! |
LOVED every single ride we took in this beautiful country! |
So many streams running by the roads... |
Bridal Veil Falls in Spearfish Canyon |
Spearfish Canyon - this was one of my favorite stops. Cool weather, the sound of the water, so very peaceful... |
Kenneth relaxing in front of the outside TV after a very full day...well deserved! |
