Got up Friday, 8/20, ate breakfast and got the camper ready for the road. We had a 232 mile trip to SLC and the smoke was pretty bad again. Got all set up Friday afternoon at Mountain Shadows RV Park. It started raining Saturday morning, so we took the truck to breakfast and the H-D shop and got our chip. Didn't do anything else Saturday which is typical after a travel day. Sunday found us riding on the Alpine Scenic Loop in Uinta National Forest for our first ride in Utah. Every state gets bigger mountains and more beautiful scenery!! This morning we headed out for another ride Kenneth had planned. We got through half of it and all the dash warning light came on like they did when our water pump went out so back to the camper we came. The lights went out halfway back so we stopped at The Bohemian Brewery for a really good lunch, some really good beer and really good service! It was a nice way to end a disappointing day. Kenneth is taking the bike to the H-D shop in town tomorrow morning so hopefully we can get it taken care of and do another ride or two before we have to leave here!

I've tried twice and these pics keep loading in reverse order so here's the view from the Pancake House - I love seeing the mountains, even is it's still smoky from the fires and cloudy. |

This is the view from our camper. |

Another state sign!! |

All the teepees out in the field were interesting. |

The rocks here are very Badland-ish |

Waterfalls!! |

Wasatch National Forest on today before we had to head back. One of the locals said we were at 9600'. I don't know if that's accurate, but it was 20 degrees cooler her than in SLC!! |

Just miles and miles of beautiful! |

I had a salmon BLT with garlic fries and Kenneth had cod...and those onion rings!! They were the biggest I've ever seen! |
|
Really cool little place...glad it was on the way back to the camper. |
