We actually weren't aware of how close we were to the Four Corners monument where Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah meet when we planned to stay in Cortez to see Mesa Verde. When we realized it was just a 30 minute drive from our campground, we loaded up Friday morning and went to see it, too!! Not much there, but the photo op in all four states and what we thought from the outside were storage units (??) but upon entering center stage to take our pictures, we realized they were vendor booths! We got there about 15 minutes after they gates opened and they were all just setting up so no shopping but we did get our pictures.
