Here's something that is going to play a big part in our retirement fun...
Every sunny day over 60 degrees finds us on the back roads enjoying ourselves!
This is us participating in Run with the Nuns for the Kids in Shreveport, LA - October, 2015...about six days after we got the bike.  We look forward to many more adventures on this!!

Weekend getaway...

This past Saturday, we drove to Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Bossier City, Louisiana to see Three Dog Night in concert.





We had a great room on the 15th floor with a fantastic views of the Red River and Shreveport.


After a dinner of crab legs and prime rib, we had a few drinks in our room and then headed to the Paradise Theater.  The concert venue is small at Margaritaville.  It makes you feel like you're spending the evening with friends listening to music.  The band still sounds really good for being around as long as they have! 



We gave the casino a little of our money then headed back to the room, got a great nights sleep and headed home Sunday.  It really turned out to be a very enjoyable, relaxing weekend.

No telling what's going to happen!

It's a new year and retirement starts for Kenneth in May, so I expect lots of changes and lots of travels in 2016!  I wanted to get this started so I would have a place to log our travel experience and also to give our family a way to keep up with us while we're on the road.  I'm also very new to the blog thing so there is certainly going to be a "learning curve" while I figure things out!  Hopefully I'll have all the kinks worked out before I actually start posting our travels and retirement fun.  :)
