Lilah cashed in her coupon

Sweet little Lilah Jayne cashed in her "Day with Aunt Elaine" coupon and chose to go to Party Central.  Neither of us had ever been there and let me tell you...this is a kids paradise!!  Lilah rode all they had to offer, played games, climbed around in the huge maze, ate dinner, went down the giant slide and made new friends!!  She had the best time and did not want to leave but I finally dragged her away after five hours of fun!!  I so enjoyed spending time with her...she's changed so much from last year-growing up so fast!!  Can't wait to see what the future holds for our bright, intelligent, happy girl!  Love you, Lilah!!

Headed out.  Still not quite tall enough to sit up front, but I bet she will be next year!!

Bumper cars!!

Bumper boats...

Go-carts!!  She had never driven any of these ride by herself before and she did a great job!!

Mini golf!  She was ready to quit after three holes.  She had no idea there were EIGHTEEN of them...and I made her play every one of them!

She really did a great job and I think she actually enjoyed it...:)

This was a giant bouncy band thing that she HAD to try and ended up hating it!  She was a trooper and bounced a few times but the bands around her legs were pinching and hurting her.  Also, I don't really think she liked bouncing so high!

The food was actually pretty good.

There were so many games and they all spit out tickets.  She got quite a few tickets and ended up buying some toys with them.

She had so much fun climbing through this maze of nets and slides and tunnels!

I don't think this dessert could have gotten any sweeter.  That's her new friend behind her...:)

They must have gone down the slide together 35 times!  Such a fun evening!!

Easter

We went to the Simple Church's huge Easter service at the CentryLink Center this year and it was awesome!!  Mum wasn't a big fan, but I enjoyed it and was really happy that Daniel joined us.  Since Amanda and Brandon are doing the family holiday dinners now, after church we headed on down to their house for a wonderful meal and enjoyed the family.  It was a wonderful day and the best thing about it...knowing that Christ overcame the grave, has washed our sins away and has prepared a place for us in heaven!!  All we have to do is repent and receive His wonderful gift...Hallelujah!!!

Love this kid!!!

Look at all the lights!!!

Shine the light of Christ wherever you go...:)

Kaylie seemed to be the only one NOT happy to model the ears I got for them!!

The meal was SO good!!!

These beautiful girls...love them all so much!!

Daniel helping them with the last of the eggs he hid for them...:)

Ummm...Natalee?  That is NOT an egg!!

Such a fun day with the family!!

El Camino Show!

On March 30th, there was an El Camino show in Natchitoches.  We went in my Pilot because the new overdrive transmission we had put in our El Camino sprung a leak the day before we were to go and it was back in the transmission shop.  It was a beautiful day, the azaleas were in full bloom, we got to meet some other El Camino owners and had a nice lunch at the Cane River Commissary with them all before coming back home.  Maybe next year we'll be able to take our car to the show!!

This is a sad man right here.  The transmission shop sent a tow truck and had her fixed in a few days.

Some of the El Caminos at the show.  Sure wish ours was there!!

This was a nice El Camino.  There's my Pilot in the background!!

I really liked this one!

Mardi Gras 2019!!

The last weekend of February, all of our folks from Texas and Louisiana gathered again to celebrate Mardi Gras!  We always have so much fun together.  Timothy and Sandy came to their very first Mardi Gras and have now decided they want to join in the fun every year.  We had some spend the night at our house Friday night, then off to Superior Grill to meet up with everyone else.  We had 35 this year!!!  Daniel and Sophia joined us this year, as well.  Sophia met everyone and we've decided that if she can survive Mardi Gras with this crazy bunch, then she's going to fit in just fine with our family...:)

Hanging out Friday night

Timothy and Sandy enjoying Superior margaritas!

Only got half of the table - there were too many of us!!

Daniel, Sophia and me - Sophia even got her own shot glass necklace.  Now she HAS to come every year!

Shots for all the ladies!!

Throw me something, Mister!

Some of the group watching the action.
Sheri, Johnny and Curt

I've never seen anyone dance, holler and wave as much as Bush did!!

I asked Daniel and Sophia to get together for a picture and Curt can't resist jumping in.

Did get a very nice pic, though don't you think?  :)

Lisa is always in "party mode" when the parade rolls in much like the rest of us!!

Dinner after the parade and a little too much drinking!

Say "HI" everyone!!!  And now "BYE" to 2019 Mardi Gras.  See you next year!!

Shelby was first this year

Shelby was the first great-niece to cash in her "Day with Aunt Elaine" Christmas coupon this year and she chose to go to Winter Jam again.  I loved our time spent together as much as I did last year - she's such a sweet girl!  I picked her up at school, we went for a Mexican dinner and then on to the concert.  We carried food donations and that got us in for free so she was able to pick out two tshirts.  What a fun evening we had...looking forward to spending more time with Shelby!

Refreshing my memory on high school days...
