Jenny and Mike May, 2019 visit!

Jenny and Mike came to visit May 22nd-May 28th and, as usual, we had SO. MUCH. FUN!!!  Picked them up at the airport and chilled at the house with pizza.  Mum stayed a couple of days, but flew out to go to Atlanta Friday.  The girls when to Jefferson Thursday while the guys fished and that evening we went to Flying Heart Brewery to meet up with Daniel and Sophia.  Friday we went to the Norton Art Gallery, took Mum to the airport, ate at Posado's, chilled at the house then went to Margaritaville for dinner and gambling.  Saturday was shopping/fishing in the morning and Mudbug Madness in the evening.  The Molly Ringwalds were playing and I'd always wanted to see them.  Heard they were really good and they were!!  Sunday was a fish fry with all the fish the guys had been catching and chillin' on the porch.  Monday was the last day they were here.  Went to Superior for Mexican food and margaritas then on to El Dorado to gamble a bit.  Busy, but fun and relaxing visit!!

May, 2019 high water...again!!

The past couple of years we've had some REALLY high water at our house.  Fortunately, we built the house higher than the flood plain, but the road and boathouse usually go under water.  Here are a few pics to document 2019...

Daniel fishing in the yard!!  And he caught some...see below!

Curt came to fish!

At the end of April, 2019, Lisa went on her flower trip with friends to south Texas which means Curt comes to Caddo to fish!  We always get some crawfish and Kenneth and Curt always manage to catch a few fish!

Lilah cashed in her coupon

Sweet little Lilah Jayne cashed in her "Day with Aunt Elaine" coupon and chose to go to Party Central.  Neither of us had ever been there and let me tell you...this is a kids paradise!!  Lilah rode all they had to offer, played games, climbed around in the huge maze, ate dinner, went down the giant slide and made new friends!!  She had the best time and did not want to leave but I finally dragged her away after five hours of fun!!  I so enjoyed spending time with her...she's changed so much from last year-growing up so fast!!  Can't wait to see what the future holds for our bright, intelligent, happy girl!  Love you, Lilah!!

Headed out.  Still not quite tall enough to sit up front, but I bet she will be next year!!

Bumper cars!!

Bumper boats...

Go-carts!!  She had never driven any of these ride by herself before and she did a great job!!

Mini golf!  She was ready to quit after three holes.  She had no idea there were EIGHTEEN of them...and I made her play every one of them!

She really did a great job and I think she actually enjoyed it...:)

This was a giant bouncy band thing that she HAD to try and ended up hating it!  She was a trooper and bounced a few times but the bands around her legs were pinching and hurting her.  Also, I don't really think she liked bouncing so high!

The food was actually pretty good.

There were so many games and they all spit out tickets.  She got quite a few tickets and ended up buying some toys with them.

She had so much fun climbing through this maze of nets and slides and tunnels!

I don't think this dessert could have gotten any sweeter.  That's her new friend behind her...:)

They must have gone down the slide together 35 times!  Such a fun evening!!

Easter

We went to the Simple Church's huge Easter service at the CentryLink Center this year and it was awesome!!  Mum wasn't a big fan, but I enjoyed it and was really happy that Daniel joined us.  Since Amanda and Brandon are doing the family holiday dinners now, after church we headed on down to their house for a wonderful meal and enjoyed the family.  It was a wonderful day and the best thing about it...knowing that Christ overcame the grave, has washed our sins away and has prepared a place for us in heaven!!  All we have to do is repent and receive His wonderful gift...Hallelujah!!!

Love this kid!!!

Look at all the lights!!!

Shine the light of Christ wherever you go...:)

Kaylie seemed to be the only one NOT happy to model the ears I got for them!!

The meal was SO good!!!

These beautiful girls...love them all so much!!

Daniel helping them with the last of the eggs he hid for them...:)

Ummm...Natalee?  That is NOT an egg!!

Such a fun day with the family!!

El Camino Show!

On March 30th, there was an El Camino show in Natchitoches.  We went in my Pilot because the new overdrive transmission we had put in our El Camino sprung a leak the day before we were to go and it was back in the transmission shop.  It was a beautiful day, the azaleas were in full bloom, we got to meet some other El Camino owners and had a nice lunch at the Cane River Commissary with them all before coming back home.  Maybe next year we'll be able to take our car to the show!!

This is a sad man right here.  The transmission shop sent a tow truck and had her fixed in a few days.

Some of the El Caminos at the show.  Sure wish ours was there!!

This was a nice El Camino.  There's my Pilot in the background!!

I really liked this one!
