Finishing up the last days of March, 2017

We got back from Alaska Thursday and Saturday I went and picked up Mum to go to a volleyball tournament!  Kathy's daughter, Natalia, plays in a Dallas league and told us when they were here for Mardi Gras that they would be back over for this tournament.  Mum used to play volleyball and basketball in school back in the day and she was looking forward to going.  I love to watch any sport when I know a kid playing so we both really enjoyed the day.
Natalia is in the back, far left - ready for action!

Not so happy about keeping score...

Sunday found Kenneth and me on the motorcycle headed south!  It was a beautiful day and we were both happy to be in the warm sunshine after below zero temperatures in Alaska.  He and Daniel were fishing in a tournament the first weekend of April at Grand Bayou and Kenneth rented a spot to take the camper down.  He went a couple of days early, set up the camper and they pre-fished the lake and spent the weekend in the camper.  Kenneth wanted to take a ride down to Grand Bayou to check out the campground, see where he'd be putting the camper and just get a feel for where they would be.  It was a great ride and he's looking forward to being there next week.

Their camping spot for five days.

The marina they launched from.

Beautiful lake they fished.  They came in 13th out of 42 teams so I felt like it was a great success!

After checking out the campground, we headed towards home and went through the little town of Ringgold.  We stopped to eat at The Log Cabin Café for lunch and ran into an old pastor from North Highlands and his wife, Mark and Sandra Benge.  Visited with them outside as they were leaving while we were coming and got to find out about their kids and what all they've been doing.
Love these small country churches - this one is in Ringgold, LA

When we got home, Kenneth washed the bike and our neighbor Richard came over to visit with his grandson, Remy.  While we talked, Remy asked to use the blower that Kenneth had dried the bike with and was about to clean off the driveway with.  He gave the blower to Remy and that little guy cleaned the whole driveway!

What a fun and memorable month March was!  Hard to believe 2017 is going by so fast.
