Back in our routine...

Well, we've been home for a month and it feels so nice to be back in my routine!  I'm not sure Kenneth can say that because he has been busy with more than he can handle the past month, but I'm enjoying it.  I've been getting caught up at work, getting the house cleaned and decorating for fall, visiting Mum, went to a bridal shower for Sophia given by her co-workers, met the Church Chicks for dinner, Bunco and generally having fun while Kenneth gets to work on mowers, then mow, work on the septic system, work on wheelchair ramps, service vehicles and go help the myriad of people who need help.  He has taken a few hours to go enjoy the beautiful fall weather we've been having in the boat fishing, though, so that helps!  Here are just a few memories from this past month...

Kenneth and Daniel out on a wheelchair ramp.  I do NOT know what we'd do without our awesome son!  He is so much help to his Dad and brings so much joy to our lives...:)

And what a wonderful young lady he's found to share his life with!!  Love meeting them on the patio at Flying Heart for dinner!

Just one of the many beautiful fall sunsets we've had.

Katie is rockin' medium scrubs!!  Her weight loss has her looking and feeling SO much better!!  Here's another kid I don't know WHAT we'd do without!!  She helps our entire family with her medical knowledge, keeps us entertained and is the most beautiful, sweetest, kindest, happiest daughter a mom could ever hope for...:)

Shopping with Mum...those boxes mean I have assembling work to do!

Sophia's shower

Sophia and Grace - beautiful mother and daughter pic!  I'm so grateful they are going to be a part of my life from now on...:)

The shower gift I gave her - memories from her engagement evening!

Her co-workers know how to decorate for a party!

Sophia on TV for a fundraiser - they raised over $11,000!!

Mum made us squash soup for dinner.  When I got my napkin out from under my placemat, my sister had left me a note...Love you, too, Jenny!!

So thankful to God for this beautiful young lady who will soon officially join our family!!  I say officially because she's been a part of our family since the day she and Daniel met and we loved her immediately.  She is genuine, kind, fun, loves God, is beautiful on the inside and the outside and loves our son as much as we do...what more could a Mom ask for?!

  1. The first thing mum told me was "That's Elaines' napkin! DON'T THROW IT AWAY!!!" Hence, the "You guys are weird" comment. Love and miss you.
