Maggie's 65th birthday celebration

Mum and I headed to Dallas Saturday to celebrate Maggie's 65th birthday.  She lived across the street from Mum and Dad in Euless for years and has been a wonderful friend and a part of our family.  They always had a lot of fun and when Dad got sick, she took such good care of them and was always there when they needed her.  It made me and my siblings feel so much better knowing she was there for them since we all lived far away.  Maggie loves to party and whenever she's around, you know it's going to be fun!  We had a wonderful time Saturday evening at her favorite hangout, Rio Mambo, visiting with old friends and making new ones.  The food and margaritas were great and the celebration was memorable.  Happy birthday, Maggie!

Cheers!

Rachel bringing a flight of margaritas for everyone to try.  They can keep the jalapeno margarita-was not a fan!

...and finally settled for this!

Sunday morning we got up and went to Mum's old church.  She misses her church so much and it was wonderful to go and visit with some of her old friends there.  The preaching of the PCA church is so wonderful and the new minister is really good.  If that church were near me, I'd certainly be attending!  We had safe travels to and from Dallas and am ever thankful for the Lord's care for us!  Kenneth and I went for a nice ride on the new bike Sunday evening and came home for a relaxing night at home...great way to end a fun weekend.
