Last day of VBS

Yesterday was the final day of VBS honoring our local heroes.  We had visits from firemen, policemen, a farmer and his big John Deere tractor and last night the Life Air helicopter landed in front of our church so the kids could see it up close and talk to the wonderful men and women who help those in dire need.  What a wonderful week we've had getting to know and honoring the first responders in our community, learning about the heroes in the Bible and learning how Christians should act in missions.  We had a great turnout of kids, fed them dinner every night and hopefully fed some souls in the process!  Looking forward to next year...:)

This morning, Kenneth headed out in the El Camino to go hit a bucket of balls at the country club.  I'm very thankful for this hard-working man who provided so well for his family through the years and is now able to enjoy his retirement in so many ways!  He has certainly stayed busy every day and has even found time to help me around the house.

Looked up through my sunroof on the way to work and the sky was just beautiful...
