Shelby's "Day with Auntie"!!

On Saturday, March 10th, Shelby used her Christmas "A Day with Aunt Elaine" coupon to go to WinterJam 2018.  WinterJam is Christian music's largest annual tour and it was jam-packed with music and entertainment.  I picked her up around 2:00 and we headed out to eat.  We were headed to her choice of Logan's Roadhouse, but passed the newly opened Taco Bueno and she said she'd rather eat there soooo...since I'm SO used to pulling U-turns it was easy enough for me to do that and we had Mexican instead of steaks.  On to Starbucks for some after lunch refreshments and then to the CenturyLink Center.  I had gotten us JamNation memberships and thought that would get us right on in but it turns out about 2,500 others had the same idea so we had to wait in line about 45 minutes.  It turned out great though because we chatted and made some new friends in line.  Once inside, we picked out some great seats and had a wonderful view of the entire show.  There was a speaker (Nick Hall), a comedian (John Crist) and a great lineup of music - Mallory Hope, Westover, Nick Bremnes, Jordan Feliz, KB, NewSong, Building 429, Kari Jobe and Skillet.  I LOVE me some bass and it was so loud the seats were shaking - it was awesome!!  Shelby thoroughly enjoyed herself and took in every second of the show.  She had a friend invite her to church a little over a year ago and I'm so thankful she's been attending twice a week.  She's such a beautiful soul with a sweet, shy smile and a love for music.  I'm so happy to have gotten to spend some time with her and get to know her better.  We didn't get home until 11:30 and I think she went straight to bed - late night for a little lady...:)  Looking forward to spending more time with her in the future.  Love you, Shelby!!

Amanda Jayne took our picture before we left the house.

She was really happy with her choice for dinner.

The food wasn't too bad for fast food, either...
