March, 2020

We finally make it to Savannah!!  We rented a condo in the middle of town with Jenny, Mike, Kim and Al for one of the biggest St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the country.  Little did we know that this month, the entire world would be shutting down due to COVID-19, aka the coronavirus.  We didn't think much of it at first and everyone was even joking about it, but it turned out to be a global pandemic that took a lot of lives and changed our world forever.  We had a four day trip planned for the ride home, but everything closed down and we ended up going straight home after St. Patrick's Day.  They canceled the parade and all the restaurants were closing.  We still managed to get in visiting, eating, drinking and had fun but it was the last public gathering without masks or group thing outside of family and close friends we did for a while.

Al and Kenneth

Elaine and Kim...oh, and Marilyn!

Really enjoyed our meal at The Crab Shack on Tybee Island

I was the only one to venture into the water...it was still pretty cold!

Nice place to stop for a drink with a great view!

This was fun! Never rode on a pedal bar before.

Kenneth and his new friend and fellow Trump supporter!

This was what everyone thought after COVID started...

We could shop, but people were limited in the store and you had to wear a mask.

Disposable gloves also became quite popular.

Visited Mum from the yard until we felt it was OK

Social distancing became a new phrase in daily life.  Kenneth was already good at that!

This is also a way to get together with friends but still maintain social distancing.
