September, 2022

Started off the month with a Labor Day weekend trip to McKinney. Weather was beautiful, Curt grilled for everyone Saturday and Kenneth got to see his air show and were the planes ever active this holiday weekend! This month we had a lot of great meals out, got back on the bike for a couple of rides, watched some volleyball, women's conference at a local church and a luncheon at our church were some of the highlights!

Kenneth and I were up early Saturday morning to watch the planes from the little local airport next door to Curt and Lisa's house and saw a hot air balloon first!

Watching the moon fade away and the sun rise...such a beautiful morning!

Gang's all here! Johnny, Sherri, Steve, Kay, Dillon, Dawn and her two grandkids all joined us for an evening full of airplanes, food and fun.

Lisa made us some Bloody Mary's before heading out to get lunch

These chicken biscuits with sausage gravy were really good and made three breakfasts for me!

Dinner with Mum at Ralph and Kacoo's

Kenneth and I took a volleyball net and poles down to Kaylie's house and we found a new restaurant on the way home! El Cabo Verde was quite tasty!

That time of year for these two to head out to the deer lease for before hunting maintenance.

Haven't been to a Pirates of the Red Parrothead Club meeting in a long time! Their monthly raffle proceeds went to the Gingerbread House so Mum and I joined Sophia there to represent.

And I won the special raffle of The Kraken Attacks (Louisiana edition) Rum. 94 proof requires a little ice while sipping.

Arvis and Pattie brought us some fresh Gulf shrimp when they came back from a trip. SO good!!

Cooking up some Hitman bacon one morning...this cut was like Canadian bacon.

Haley had some surgery done and had to wear a cone...poor puppy!

Out for a ride!! It's been a long time...

And while we were out, we stopped and got the BEST Subway sandwich ever because it was made by someone we love so much...our Kaylie Jayne!!

Used one of our gift certificates...went to 2Johns for lunch. Look how pretty Kenneth pasta is!

My shrimp and grits was not as pretty, but it was good

Angela and me at the Worthy women's conference...such wonderful food and a great speaker we enjoyed!

Northpoint Church Ladies' Luncheon

Love this family!!

One of the many food tables at the Worthy conference

Sophia checking in!!

Had some work done on the house...replaced all of the boards around the roofline and the chimney

It looks so much better now! It was peeling and beginning to rot so we had to do something quick!

Ahh..Caddo Lake is so pretty...

Supervising...

Volleyball time!

Nat stayed after school to watch, too

Love watching her play!
