He made it!!

Kenneth's retirement day came and went with quite a celebration!  The people at his work had a wonderful party for him - and they allow they're going to miss him quite a bit.  Kenneth can do so many things, is self-motivated, works hard and does a good job no matter what project he takes on so I'm sure he will be missed.  He knew I was coming to the party but he didn't know the kids were coming and I also asked that his supervisor when he started with the parish 33 years ago be invited so he had a few surprises there.  I wish I could post the slide show they put together - it was GREAT!  The food was really good and all the sentiments were bittersweet.  Kenneth really loved his job and the challenges it presented.  I hope he can find as many projects around the house to challenge him!

He won't be using this timeclock anymore!

I wonder what name will be up here next week...

On Saturday morning, we took about a three hour ride on the motorcycle - so enjoyable!  Came home and did some chores and then headed down to the Mudbug Madness Festival in Shreveport.  Had a wonderful dinner there and listened to a great Cajun band for a while.  Had a really nice evening...:)

Great food!

Lots of people there

Beautiful weather

Great band and people dancing

Always a fun time as long as we're together.

Sunday morning we got up and went to church and then headed to Shane's for a birthday/retirement/Father's Day dinner for Kenneth.  So wonderful to have everyone there!

And this is Kenneth Tuesday morning, May 31st on his first official day of retirement!  Enjoying the back porch, reading on his iPad and he can take his time...he has nowhere to be!

Looks like he has this retirement thing figured out!
