Running with the nuns!

Last Saturday we participated in a charity ride sponsored by Christus called Run With the Nuns and yes...there are actually nuns who ride on motorcycles!  The ride benefits many childrens programs and needs in the area.  This is our second year to ride but I volunteered several years before and the people who organize this benefit and put it on are amazing.

Blurry selfie before leaving the house...I didn't take two like I always do so this is all I got!

Beautiful sunrise on the way...

Follow the nuns on motorcycle signs!!

Silver Star did a GREAT job with the venue and the food!

Registration tent, but we were already pre-registered and had picked up our packet and shirts the night before.

They served a legit breakfast - sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, milk, juice, coffee...very good!

Coffee guys were super nice

Got Kenneth a 10th anniversary pin for his vest at the store.

Picture from the RWTN Facebook page with us talking with the volunteers at the store.

It's always fun to find pics of us together!

Our local Christus group, Christus Schumpert, is a Catholic run hospital hence...Run With the Nuns...and they hand out medals every year with a different saint on them.  The priests said a prayer and blessed the medals and the nuns passed them out to all the riders.

Getting ready to roll!

Another picture from the FB page that caught us getting ready to load up for the ride.

Beautiful day for a ride!

The local law enforcement officers that lead the way, blocked intersections so we could all stay together and kept us safe.

Don't they look awesome?  Thank GOD for our law enforcement...what would we do without them?

The priests blessed each bike/rider(s) on our way out.

Another picture from the FB page!

People were coming out of buildings and waving as we passed.

This guy had his little girl on his shoulders waving!

We weren't the only ones enjoying the day.  Love this car!

Yet another soul enjoying the beautiful day - hope he caught a few!

Pulling in to our rest stop after an hour and a half ride.  I needed it!!

There was a longer line at the mens bathroom than the womens!!

Back at Silver Star for lunch of pulled pork sandwiches, chips and cake.  And music by Earshot Graffiti.

Some of the kids from the Miracle Network that are helped through this charity.

Pictures of the bikes from behind us and in front of us.  What a wonderful day it was!
