8/16-Grand Teton Wyoming Pass and Jackson

Monday morning I got up and worked for a couple of hours, then we took off to ride the Grand Teton Scenic Byway.  We had no idea that once we traveled it, we'd only be 33 miles from Jackson Hole which was one of the places on my list to visit.  Even though we didn't plan to ride a 200 mile round trip, we figured since we were that close, we'd just go ahead and do it!  The Harley Davidson store is closed Mondays, so we weren't able to get our chip, but I managed to find a few trinkets to buy, had a local brew, walked the town a bit and then headed back to our little home away from home.  This camper is awesome to come back to after long days of sightseeing!

Row of shops across the street I was eyeballing to shop at while enjoying said beverage

One of the antler arches in Jackson

We used their parking lot while we wandered the town.

The sun was eerily beautiful through the clouds and smoke.  I made several attempts to catch it.

My dinner after a shower when we finally got home!

Random pic:  I've been seeing a lot of these trees and didn't know what they were. We spotted this one in the RV park so Kenneth stopped and asked one of the guys that works there what it was and we found out it's a Russian Olive tree.  Has long thorns on it and it was used as a barrier back in the day.
