8/6-8/7

Well, our company had to leave Friday morning so we're on our own again.  We always have so much fun with Curt and Lisa and were so happy they were able to make it up and spend the week.  Just more memories to add to the almost four decades worth we already have...old friends are the best!!!   We just hung around the camper Friday, got some laundry done and rested up from the 400+ miles we rode this week.  On Saturday, we took a ride back to Custer State Park to ride the Wildlife Loop, into the town of Custer for lunch and to do a little Christmas shopping and then to the Crazy Horse Memorial.  Full day of riding makes the shower and recliner feel really good!

We saw several large herds of buffalo, but thankfully they all stayed in the fields.  We found out in 2016 how intimidating they are when they're standing in the middle of the road and won't let you pass!

However, the donkeys are still making themselves at home in the middle of everything...we rode right past this one!

Custer, SD

Just another random shot of the beauty here...:)

That's Crazy Horse right above us.  You can't go up there, but they have a really nice museum with a big viewing window.  Got a couple of things from the local artisans there.
